The Shield
A mark of command and guardianship, The Shield signifies the one who holds ownership within a D/s or M/s dynamic. Its form carries layered meaning: the shield itself symbolises the protector and custodian of a submissive or slave; the upward-pointing arrow nods to the traditional symbol of masculinity, while the cross embodies the emblem of femininity.
Together, they honour both male and female Owners, Masters, Mistresses, and Dommes—any Dominant whose presence anchors the relationship.
It is worn by those who stand at the helm: the Owner, Master, Mistress, or Domme who shapes the rules, guards the bond, and claims the devotion of those who serve.
